Traditional Parsi Gara embroidery finds contemporary expression with a calming green colour while retaining its multicultural roots in distinguished floral motifs. Parsi Gara is all about nature, a reverence for nature, in a very realistic way. This beautiful strap dress features artistically placed floral bunch motifs from the traditional motif of a finch looks for nectar in flowers while the butterfly hovers behind, along with peonies around the neckline and all over the flare of the dress meticulously executed in satin stitch on the graceful green base. The exquisite embroidered 13.5 inches long bodice is further detailed with delicate lace detailing under the bust. This super stylish one-side slit dress in soft breathable viscose fabric features inseam pockets for your summer gatherings with a feminine V neck with straps along with concealed side zipper and lace details on bodice and hem panel attachments.

Combining the beauty inherent in four cultural traditions Persian, Chinese, Indian and European this exquisite textile form is truly an intercultural craft. Gara is the Gujarati word for sari and as the embroidery was inspired by the Parsi art, hence Parsi Gara. The motifs are influenced by the flora, birds and even scenes and stories of Chinese origin like the bridges, pagodas, boatmen and shrines, very rarely even geometric designs are created. Stain stitch, crewel stitch, stem stitch and French knots are used to create these intricate masterpieces.
